Festival of Foodies

 The 6th Annual Festival of Foodies was held Saturday, Jan. 27 at Spokane Community College. More than 50 vendors participated in this year’s festivities, sponsored by Clear Channel Communications, the Spokane Chapter Washington Restaurant Association and Forest Glen Family of Fine Wines. 

Chef Amadeus cooking demo on stageThe day’s events included on-stage demonstrations. University Appliance provided equipment for the chefs to prepare their tasty treats. Booths included restaurants, specialty food producers, beweries and wineries. Cooking demonstrations were given by MAX at Mirabeau, C.I. Shenanigan’s, Anthony’s Homeport, Tecate Grill, Just American Desserts, Tillamook Cheese and by Chef Amadeus, who did a cooking demo on his Chicken Napolean with a Champagne Citrus Glaze. Originally from Florida, he now lives in Seattle and has created his own style of mixing the Northwest fresh with his own blend of spices, which he calls Southern Passion.

Hundreds of food-lovers visited booths where they could indulge their tastebuds with tasty cuisine from local restaurants and local specialty foods and shops, tasting various wines and beer from a variety of wine and beer distributors.The crowd

The Lake Place Closes

We’re sorry to see this rustic North Idaho on-the-lake place go bye-bye. It is now closed. Anyone out there looking to take over a great location at Tobler Marina on Hayden Lake?

We will miss Bill!! Thanks for the last two years of tasty delights and great service.
