Spokane — Kids can learn to make a variety of fun and easy meals to include Meaty Marinara Sauce (Feb. 1), Chili and Cornbread (Feb. 8 ), Stroganoff (Feb. 22) and Pasta Salad (Feb. 29). Kids 9 to 13 welcome. Each class is $22. Pre-registration required. Classes are held at the Corbin Art Center located at 507 W. Seventh Ave.
Coeur d’Alene — Head down to Downtown CdA and enjoy yourself New-Orleans style. Indulge in Cajun foods and street entertainment. And Mardi Gras just wouldn’t be the same without a parade … and beads! (Parade is only on Saturday.) This event is FREE.
Spokane — Enjoy a wonderful evening to include a gourmet dinner and wine, accompanied by live entertainment and live and silent auctions. Proceeds from this event will go to benefit Center Pointe, a non-profit United Way agency that offers recreational therapy through classes and activities. Classes are offered to those with developmental disabilities who live in the Spokane area. This event will be held at the Manito Golf & Country Club, located at 5303 S. Hatch Rd. Tickets are $100 per person.
Airway Heights — Indulge yourself to taste Spokane at Northern Quest Casino, where you can sample some of Spokane’s best restaurants, regional wineries and breweries, dessert purveyors and spa treatments. There will also be live music and a raffle. This fundraising event benefits the Wishing Star Foundation. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door and can be purchase at Vino! A Wine Shop or the Wishing Star Foundation. Cost includes wine glass and cheese platter. Tasting, pamper and raffle tickets are $2 each.

Post Falls — Enoteca Wine Shop welcomes one of Spokane’s premier wineries. Barrister Winery is making some of the area’s most sought after top-notch wines. Barrister winemakers, either Greg Lipsker or Michael White, possibly both, will be on hand to show their wine and sign bottles. Come meet one or both of the attorney/winemakers on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, and taste a great selection of their wines! Enoteca will also have Barrister wines for tasting on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 12-7pm. Enoteca is located at 112 E. Seltice Way, Suite C.
Spokane — Pre-registration is required for this etiquette class geared toward 7-to-12-year-olds. This class will be held in the Palm Court Dining Room at the Davenport Hotel, located at 10 S. Post St. in Downtown Spokane. Cost is $45 per lady or gentleman.
