Spokane — The non-competitive cylcing event debuts Sept. 7, 2008, at Riverfront Park and includes food, entertainment and different ride options for cyclists, whether you want to just ride around the park or take on a 21-mile ride on the Centennial Trail to Riverside State Park and back. The event begins at 7am, where there will be Thomas Hammer coffee and a free pancake feed. There will also be free BumbleBars for bikers as well. Those participating in the 21-mile ride will take off around 9am, with other riders beginning their ride at 10am. Partisipants will be welcomed back from their ride with free ice cream from The Scoop and live bluegrass music. Cost is $10/Person or $25/Family of three and $5/Each additional family member.

Spokane — Join Futurewise for their annual food and wine tasting as they celebrate Eastern Washington’s diverse food culture and those who make it possiblet: the local food producers, winemakers and guest chefs. Chefs will prepare foods which will be paired with regional wines. Taste the difference supporting local farms makes! Pullman, Wash. — Held every Friday evening before home football games, this is a culinary experience not to miss! This collaboration by the Moose Market and the Iron Horse is to help benefit Hospice of North Idaho, with a portion of th proceeds from this event being donated. This event will be held at Sherman Park, located between Third and Forth on Sherman Avenue. Cost is $5 and include one glass of beer.
Spokane Valley — Support Team “Fight Like a Gril, Heaven Can Wait” as they embark on a 60-mile walk from Sept. 12-14 for the Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk. Their goal is to raise more than $24,000 for the cause of fighting breast cancer. Breakfast will be at Applebee’s and includes pancakes, eggs and juice or coffee. There will also be a carwash next door to help raise money as well. Applebee’s is located at 12217 E. Mission Ave. Cost is $8 per person.

Spokane — Come and join in the fun of this annual event! The 29th Annual Pig Out in the Park is a six day music and food festival held in Riverfront Park. There will be 50 food booths and three beer gardens, with 75 entertainment acts performing on three stages. Admission to this event is FREE.
