Coeur d’Alene — Help raise money for the Children’s Village by attending this motorcycle event at Coeur d’Alene Honda. Cost is $5 and entitles you to taste ALL the competing chefs’ chilis, and for a $2 donation you will be entered into a drawing to win a Honda ATV! Judging begins at 1:30pm. Some of the chefs competing are: Chef Troy Louis Chandler of Bonsai Bistro & Sushi Bar, who will be up against two fellow Bonsai chefs, and the Mighty Schultzy (Chef Chris Shultz) of MoonTime. It’ll be a great time for a good cause, so head down to Coeur d’Alene Honda Sept. 21, 2008!
Coeur d’Alene — Held at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds, this funraising event for the North Idaho Aids Coalition, themed “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Medieval,” includes fencing, wine, food and auction. Cost is $50/advance, $60/door.
Green Bluff — Take part in this annual , family friendly event on the Bluff. Here you will find a large variety of apples, fresh-pressed cider and pumpkins. There will also be live music for your entertainment, along with food, craft booths, antiques, farm mazes and animals. This event will be held every Saturdays and Sundays Sept. 13-Oct. 25. Green Bluff is located 15 minutes north of Spokane.
Spokane – Held at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center, located at 404 N. Havana St., Custer’s Fall Antique and Collectors Sale will be held Oct. 3-5, 2008. Cost is $6/Adults for all three days, FREE/Children 12 and younger.
Spokane Valley — Come down for the 30th Annual Spokane Quilt Show entitled “Winter Harmony,” the LARGEST quilt show in Eastern Washington! The show will feature 600 quilts, quilted clothing and wall hangings, a merchant mall, quilter’s boutique selling hand-crafted items, free quilting demonstrations, an art quilt gallery, and a public vote-for-you-favorite quilt. The featured quilter of the event will be Barb Lambrech. This three-day event is held at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center, located at 404 N. Havana St. Parking is free. Cost is $7 for all three days. Children 11 and younger are FREE.
Spokane — This is the LAST market of the season, so don’t miss out! At the Latah Creek Variety Market, you will find farmer’s produce, tons of antiques, art, crafts, candles, jewelry, clothing, baby items, plants, food, drinks and live bands. Enjoy square dancers at 10:30am, Brad Keeler at noon, Gary Burriss at 1pm, Sam Endress at 2pm and Gerard Fisher at 3pm. Enjoy $5 Personal Pizzas and $2 Margaritas and Bloody Marys, as well as lemonade, water and soda. This event is family friendly and FREE, so be sure to bring the kids. The Latah Creek Variety Market is held in the parking lot of Trading Company, Chaps and Latah Bistro on S. Cheney-Spokane Road.
Spokane — Stop in at The Kitchen Engine and enjoy entertainment, prizes and free food Sept. 10-12 at Spokane’s Historic Flour Mill, where they have recently added an additional 800 sq. ft. of retail to the store. The Kitchen Engine will be showcasing their new cookware, bakeware, kitchen tools, gourmet foods, cutlery, cooking classes and Spokane’s only Sea Salt Bar. There will be more than $2,000 worth of prizes, a cooking class, live demonstrations and factory representatives, with sales of up to 70 percent off. Nine Mile Falls, Wash. — Held at Landt Farms Sporting Clays, join in the clay shoot and support the Candlelighters of the Inland Northwest, an organization that supports kids with cancer and their families. One Hundred percent of the proceeds from the event benefit the Candlelighters of the Inland Northwest. There will also be prizes and awards.
Spokane — Take part in this lovely evening of dance and music to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Guests will be entertained by the choreography of some great local artists, with dances such as the Argentine Tango and Jazz being performed. There will also be painters on stage capturing the event through their paintings. These will be auctioned off, with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Foundation as well.
